It’s true that many good ideas have happened from the chat room but I’ve never loved chat rooms in general.
Sometimes they are interesting but many other times they seem to me a waste of time. It depends on the chatters. Those good ideas get lost for the ones who aren’t in the chat room at the right moment. Maybe a forum would be a better solution to share opinions and projects.

I think the chat room is where a lot of good ideas have happened. Like in real life… some things work and some don’t. It takes time and the right combination of thoughts and people. Just because the box says “instant jello” doesn’t mean you get it right now! My apologies for any non American readers that don’t quite get that.

you mean evp? yes – she would have done the interviews, but got side tracked due to the earth quake in Chile, where she is from . I am sure she can be persuaded to start the interviews again.

Personally I’ve become tired of chat rooms where people go simply to say hello, how are you, and engage in small talk and joke around. It’s really a matter of value for time spent. I’d be interested in a chat room which is event driven: presentations, topical discussions, interviews, guest artists and the like. Our friend Eva did interviews and such — maybe she can be more involved? Someone else? Unfortunately, with examples such as Eva and Rox we often see things start up and then lapse. The energy is not sustained.

A new chat is very usefull, it should allow an unlimited user number and also have pm possibility. It also must be safe and therefore only be accessable for artists-connect members (registration with email address to be confirmed)
All artshop artists will become artists-connect members automatically. also other persons who register with us.

one idea I like to see: offer all artists a possibility of an online presentation. details to be discussed.

the idea is that artists-connect becomes a larger community which promotes its members as much as possible.
